About the Role
As Application Engineer, your key responsibilities consist of meeting customers technical requirements using our portfolio of devices, demonstrate optimum and competitive performances to enable design-in. You will be involved in product definition and characterisation, develop demonstrators, optimization in customer applications, support ramp up in mass production as well as failure analysis.
To be effective in fulfilling your role requires in-depth knowledge of our products. You will also need to be familiar with the product development process from R&D, testing through to production.
You’re expected to be a strong team player, resourceful, able to collaborate and work closely with various team members internal as well as external to achieve company goals and objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Using CAD tools and Load-pull measurement, develop demo-boards (High Power GaN Doherty, Driver, Small Signal GaAs LNA/ Gain Block, Driver) to evaluate new design
Optimize demo-boards performances (RF matching, fine tuning) to meet customers specifications and initiate design-in opportunities at customers
Collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines, including product, test, design, and marketing to support/answer customers’ needs
Interact with customers to understand their current and future needs for radio architecture and be able to translate that into requirements for new products
Work closely with product marketing to define future new RF products
Write technical documentation including application notes, white paper, etc
Conduct training and/or deliver talks to internal teams, external channel partners, customers, seminars & symposiums
Some travel will be necessary
