About the Role
The test development role consists of making test plans, specifications, and test schematics based on product specification, creating and debugging test programs, designing and manufacturing test jigs and tools and moving to mass production line. Throughout the test development, must work closely with subcon by participating in internal project activities, new product development, cost reduction and quality improvement. The engineer will be involved with the entire NPI (new product introduction) process that starts from H/W design, ATE characterization, all the way to subcon program release. It is the test engineer’s job to:
Ensure that each device shipped meets Gallium Semiconductor high quality standards.
Provide technical support to manufacturing including hands on debug of test systems.
Liaise with sub-contractors to implement production testing and training of local support personnel.
Contribute to project plans by providing time scale estimates.
Manage own time and assigned resources to meet time-scales and quality objectives.
Requirements
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering or equivalent
Preferably with > 5years experience in RF test development and product characterization using Rack/Stack testers or bench equipment.
Knowledge in ATE development (LabView).
Experience with high power pulse mode testing using bench or rack and stack systems.
Strong data analysis skills and familiar with statistical tools.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with people at all levels including escalations and involvement of all group at stake.
Self-directed with strong desire to be part of a winning team by being flexible and may be required working extra hours at some circumstances.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
